The Genesee Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 105-43 loss at the hands of Lapwai. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Genesee in their matchups with Lapwai: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Genesee still got an impressive performance from Seth Vestal, who scored 15 points.
It was another big night for Kase Wynott, who shot 5-for-8 from downtown and dropped a triple-double on 68 points, 17 rebounds, and 11 assists for Lapwai. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wynott has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Joseph Payne, who scored 21 points along with five assists.
Genesee bumped their record down to 1-14 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home. As for Lapwai, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Genesee will take on Potlatch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Potlatch presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Genesee in Idaho (Potlatch is ranked 16th, while Genesee is ranked 143rd). As for Lapwai, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clearwater Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
