Meanwhile, Goddard waltzed into their contest on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Coyotes as they made off with a 14-4 win. Goddard's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Ryan Alsup was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). Alsup was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-5.
In other pitching news, Lucien Betancur looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (he also only allowed one walk).
Back at the plate, Cinco Holloway was incredible, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Silva, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, a triple, and a stolen base.
Lovington's record is now 4-11. As for Goddard, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
