After a string of three wins, the Jasper Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 49-41 to Southern Missouri RUSH. Jasper lost against Southern Missouri RUSH in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 48-43 score last time.
It was another big night for Hannah Gibbons, who scored 30 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals for Southern Missouri RUSH. The match was Gibbons' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Sims, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Southern Missouri RUSH, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Jasper will head out on the road to face off against Southeast at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Missouri RUSH will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Humansville at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
