Basketball Game Preview: Goleman Gators vs. Nova Titans

The Goleman Gators are taking a road trip to take on the Nova Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Goleman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.

While Goleman didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They claimed a resounding 68-29 win over Everglades Prep Academy. The Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 26 points or more this season.

Franki Sosa was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Jaylon Hall was another key player, putting up four points along with three steals and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Nova didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Northeast on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 56-52 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Nova's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Goleman, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Goleman was taken down by Nova 93-45 when the teams last played back in February of 2017. Thankfully for Goleman, Nate Griffin (who went 8 of 12 on his way to 21 points and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
