Broughton can attribute much of their success to Harrison Peatross, who scored 19 points, and Jordan Page, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peatross has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chauncey Sumpter, who scored four points along with two steals and two blocks.
Sanderson posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 57-32 margin over Athens Drive. Given Sanderson's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while Athens Drive is ranked 408th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Nathan Fife, who scored 30 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Patrick Dalton was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Broughton's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Sanderson, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
