Paso Robles had lost four straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 10-7 to make it five. They came up short against the Nipomo Titans, falling 14-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bearcats have suffered since February 28, 2025.
Isabelle Murphy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Aubrie Velazquez, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
As for Nipomo, the win got them back to even at 6-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.
On Nipomo's side, Alyssa Van Muysen made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Van Muysen was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
In other batting news, Alie Camacho was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in February. Roxanne McLean was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Coming up, Paso Robles will be taking part in a tournament against Dos Pueblos at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Bearcats surely won't give up without a fight.
