The Dutch Fork Silver Foxes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 42 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Dreher 76-3 on the road. Given Dutch Fork's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Dreher is ranked 196th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Michaela Fairwell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 27 points, nine rebounds, and ten steals. Fairwell also pulled down eight+ rebounds for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Christyonna Jackson, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Dutch Fork and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Dreher, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dutch Fork will challenge Brookland-Cayce at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dreher, they will head out on the road to face off against A.C. Flora at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
