Burley hasn't had much luck against Twin Falls recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bobcats will square off against the Bruins at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Burley comes in on five and Twin Falls on 14.
The home team had won the previous two meetings between Burley and Minico, and Burley kept the tradition alive. The Bobcats walked away with a 4-1 win over the Spartans on Friday.
Ike Redder was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Burley let Mack Haynes and Benny Redder run wild. Haynes went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Redder went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Redder a new career-high.
Burley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive contests.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Twin Falls and Jerome, and Twin Falls kept the tradition alive. The Bruins were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Tigers on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won 15 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Maddox Stadelmeir was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Luke Beem was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run.
Burley's record now sits at 16-6. As for Twin Falls, their record is now 23-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Burley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Twin Falls struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Burley came up short against Twin Falls in their previous meeting last Friday, falling 10-6. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
