The Fraser Ramblers will head out on the road to square off against the Utica Ford Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fraser will be strutting in after a win while Utica Ford will be coming in after a defeat.
Fraser had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 55-45 victory over Anchor Bay. Given Fraser's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while Anchor Bay is ranked 530th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Utica Ford pushed their score all the way to 62 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Utica. Utica Ford has not had much luck with Utica recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Fraser pushed their record up to 10-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Utica Ford, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Everything went Fraser's way against Utica Ford in their previous matchup on January 10th as Fraser made off with a 74-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fraser since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
