Orleans waltzed into their game on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the West Washington Senators as they made off with a 64-40 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Orleans' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Callie Alston, who went 6 for 7 on her way to 16 points in addition to eight boards and four blocks. The dominant performance gave Alston a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylie Knight, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

Orleans was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Washington only racked up nine assists.

West Washington lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Adelle Brown, who posted eight points along with five assists and five boards. Brown also grabbed five steals, which is notable because West Washington is 8-2 when she posts at least three steals, but 1-3 otherwise. Meredith Deaton was another key player, putting up 16 points and eight rebounds.

Orleans pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points per game. As for West Washington, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-5.

Orleans will take on Perry Central in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Perry Central will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Orleans surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Washington, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northeast Dubois at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
