Julian Fernandez Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Corcoran's Julian Fernandez, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Fernandez picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made four total tackles.

Colunga Came Up Big in Strathmore's 20-19 Defeat
Strathmore had to settle for second on Friday, but Isaiah Colunga sure wasn't going down easily. Woodlake had no answer to Colunga as he rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 165 yards on seven of 19 attempts.
The defeat snapped Strathmore's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-2 record. Colunga's next game is against Granite Hills on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Jose Cortes Goes Supernova in Lindsay Victory
The second Lindsay player making an appearance here is Jose Cortes, and for good reason. He rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.
Unfortunately for Farmersville, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Cortes. When Cortes last faced the Aztecs back in October of 2023, he rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
