It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Anthony had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 40-28 victory over the Cardinal Hayes Cardinals. The win was nothing new for the Friars as they're now sitting on five straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Anthony's to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Diieso, who threw for 178 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 44 yards. Diieso's passing game has become a key predictor of the Friars' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-4 otherwise. Xavier Bala was another key back, rushing for 166 yards.

St. Anthony's record is now 7-4. As for Cardinal Hayes, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
