The Riverdale Ridge Ravens scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 94-60 victory over Brighton. Winning may never get old, but Riverdale Ridge sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Riverdale Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marcus Hinh, who scored 24 points along with five assists and four steals. The contest was Hinh's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kameren Davis, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Brighton still got an impressive performance from Vance Martinez, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Maillet, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Riverdale Ridge pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.0 points per game. As for Brighton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Riverdale Ridge will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Thompson Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. One thing working in Thompson Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. Brighton will be home for the holidays to greet Northglenn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
