The Huss Huskies will head out to challenge the Stuart W. Cramer Storm at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Huss' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 games.
Last Friday, Huss strolled past South Point with points to spare, taking the game 83-65. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jaleel Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 12 of 24 en route to 27 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Smith is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Zaiyir 'Zii' Phillips, who posted 15 points in addition to seven assists and five boards.
Huss smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Stuart W. Cramer played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Crest, falling 84-61. The Storm were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.
Huss will have to contain Zack Alexander as he made an impact in Stuart W. Cramer's last game. He went 6 for 11 to rack up 16 points and three steals. That's the most points Alexander has posted since back in November of 2024. Makhi Brown was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.
Huss has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points over those games. As for Stuart W. Cramer, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-15.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Huss has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Stuart W. Cramer struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Huss against Stuart W. Cramer in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 74-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Huss since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
