Last Tuesday, Medina Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against South San Antonio, but they still walked away with a 65-59 win.
Meanwhile, Southwest had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points), and they went ahead and made it 12 on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 99-69 win over Winn on the road. Southwest's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Medina Valley's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-19. As for Southwest, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season.
Medina Valley was taken down by Southwest 85-48 when the teams last played on January 2nd. Can Medina Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
