The Centennial Stars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 71-47 defeat at the hands of Horizon Science Academy. Centennial was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Horizon Science Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2021.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Horizon Science Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Solaiman Jalloh, who scored 17 points along with six assists. The matchup was Jalloh's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khiryn Mcneal, who scored 15 points along with five steals.
Centennial has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Horizon Science Academy, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Centennial won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Columbus International at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th.
