Baseball Recap: Tara Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

While Tara's victory against Donaldsonville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tara Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 win over the Donaldsonville Tigers on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Adrian Coleman, who scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Steven Ruiz was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3.

Tara always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .523 or higher in three consecutive games.

Tara's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Donaldsonville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tara will square off against St. Michael at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Donaldsonville, they will take on White Castle at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
