The Marshall County Tigers waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 66-58 win over Central Magnet. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Marshall County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jabrae Howard out in front who scored 19 points. Howard has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jamahl Gentry, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Marshall County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Central Magnet, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-12.
Marshall County will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence County will be looking to keep their 13-game home win streak alive. Central Magnet will take on the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Moore County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the are ranked 136th).
