The Proctor Rails's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They lost to Cromwell at home by a decisive 71-53 margin. Proctor was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cromwell apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
Brady Dahl continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cromwell, scoring 31 points along with two steals. Dahl hasn't dropped below 16 points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Dylan Nyberg, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Proctor's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Cromwell, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Proctor will head out on the road to take on Hinckley-Finlayson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Minnesota (Hinckley-Finlayson is ranked 369th, while Proctor is ranked 365th). As for Cromwell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Ridge at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cromwell's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 matches.
