The biggest upset of the week belonged to South Fork, who took down 825th ranked Hoopa Valley, 38-28. Joey Wittlake threw for 386 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 35 yards in the win.
Ferndale extended the longest winning streak in Humboldt-Del Norte - Little 4 this week by beating St. Bernard's, 39-13. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
South Fork's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cubs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Wittlake has thrown for 1437 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Troy Langley has 44 catches for 593 yards. Wittlake also leads the league in rushing with 324 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Warriors take on Ferndale. At the moment, Hoopa Valley is in fourth, while Kim Jorgensen's team is in first.
The Cubs moved up to 967 from 1,011 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Humboldt-Del Norte - Little 4. South Fork climbed the ranks as a result of besting Marty Wilkes' team 38-28.
