The Eldorado Eagles lost against the Hamilton County Foxes back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Eldorado took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hamilton County. Eldorado has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hamilton County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rayci Phelps, who scored 17 points along with six assists. Another player making a difference was Peyton Harmon, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Eldorado has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Hamilton County, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Eldorado will head out on the road to square off against Flora at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Hamilton County, they will square off against Goreville at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Goreville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hamilton County in Illinois (Goreville is ranked 85th, while Hamilton County is ranked 376th).
