While the Terrapins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors  25-19 in the first  set.
 Tampa Prep wouldn't go down easily and took Calvary Christian into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking 11-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-15, 20-25, 25-23,  15-4.
 Despite the  loss, Tampa Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Sophia Merenda  had ten  digs.
Meanwhile, Carrollwood Day got the win against Strawberry Crest  on Wednesday by a conclusive  3-0. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Patriots.
 The final score came out to 25-15, 25-8,  25-18.
 Tampa Prep suffered their first home  defeat, dropping their record down to 14-6. As for Carrollwood Day, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.
 Everything went Tampa Prep's way against Carrollwood Day in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, as Tampa Prep made off with  a  3-0 win. Will the Terrapins repeat their success,  or do  the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
