The Hancock Central Bulldogs's six-game losing streak  dating back to last season came to an end  on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Putnam County  and snuck past  66-64. That looming  66-64 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Hancock Central yet this  season.
 Leading Hancock Central to victory were  Montravious Brown and  Josiah  Ingram.  Brown  scored 18 points along with six  rebounds, while  Ingram  shot 4-for-5 from long range and  dropped  a double-double on 19 points and 11  rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which  Ingram has scored at least 25% of Hancock Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Karter Harper, who  scored 11 points along with three  steals.
 Putnam County's loss  came despite strong showings from  Jmari Greene and  Jeremy Banks.  Greene  scored 16 points along with five  rebounds and four  steals, while  Banks  scored 12 points along with three  steals. The  game was  Greene's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Landon Bonner, who  scored 14 points along with six  rebounds.
 Putnam County  struggled to work together and  finished the game with only  an  assist. That's the fewest  assists they've managed all season.
 Hancock Central's win  ended a three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 1-5. As for Putnam County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.
 Hancock Central won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Warren County at 7:30  p.m.  on December 23rd. Putnam County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Taylor County at 5:30  p.m.  on December 27th. Taylor County will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 336th, while Putnam County is ranked 49th).
