The Minden Whippets's game on Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Lexington as Minden made off with a 63-43 win. With that win, Minden brought their scoring average up to 54 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Minden to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Lutkemeier, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Lutkemeier is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Ryan, who scored 16 points.
Minden now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lexington, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minden will take on Broken Bow at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lexington, they will stay at home for another game and welcome York at 5:00 p.m. on December 9th.
