Calusa Prep fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They claimed a resounding 70-31 victory over Downtown Doral on the road. That 70-31 margin sets a new team best for Calusa Prep this season.
Meanwhile, Miami Country Day came up short against NSU University on Wednesday and fell 86-77. While losing is never fun, Miami Country Day can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while NSU University is ranked 24th).
Calusa Prep's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Miami Country Day, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
