After flying high against the Woodward Bulldogs last Saturday, the Summit Country Day Silver Knights came back down to earth. Summit Country Day fell just short of Roger Bacon by a score of 40-37. The match was a 23-23 toss-up at halftime, but Summit Country Day was outscored by Roger Bacon in the second.
Roger Bacon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Morgan Rohling out in front who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Gussie Hoffman, who scored nine points.
Summit Country Day now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Roger Bacon, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summit Country Day on the road again on Saturday and play against Purcell Marian at 2:30 p.m. on January 20th. As for Roger Bacon, they will square off against Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Taylor will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
