Steward had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Catholic Crusaders get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won seven games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Steward pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Steward will take on Norfolk Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
