Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Richmond Heights). They breezed by the Hawken Hawks to the tune of 62-22 on Tuesday. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.
Hawken's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sasha Miller, who posted eight points. Miller continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tess Petersen, who earned four points and nine rebounds.
The win made it two in a row for Richmond Heights and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Hawken, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
Richmond Heights is taking a road trip to take on Perry at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hawken, they will host Chagrin Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
