Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hitchcock). They breezed by the Hempstead Bobcats to the tune of 80-8 on Friday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Bobcats are ranked 1298th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hitchcock's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Hempstead, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hitchcock will take on Brazos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hitchcock is facing Brazos at the right time seeing as Brazos is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Hempstead, they will square off against Van Vleck at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
