Bellmont is 7-2 against Adams Central since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bellmont Braves will head out on the road to face off against the Adams Central Flying Jets at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bellmont comes in on four and Adams Central on three.
Even though Bellmont has not done well against New Haven recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bellmont took down New Haven 62-47. Given Bellmont's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while New Haven is ranked 310th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Adams Central beat Parkway 57-45 on Saturday.
Bellmont's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Adams Central, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Bellmont strolled past Adams Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 60-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bellmont since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
