Berryhill has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Sperry Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Berryhill suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Mannford at home and fell 62-35. While losing is never fun, Berryhill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Mannford is ranked 80th).
Sperry suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Bristow by a score of 47-45. It was the first time this season that Sperry let down their fans at home.
Berryhill's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Sperry, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.
Berryhill came up short against Sperry in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 51-39. Can Berryhill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
