The Sealy Tigers will face off against the La Marque Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Sealy's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Jasper. Considering the Tigers have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Mason Dziadek looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sealy is 5-2-1 when Dziadek allows one or fewer earned runs, but 5-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Sealy let Hagen Anderson and Romeo Castillo run wild. Anderson went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double, while Castillo went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits Anderson has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Hinze, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask La Marque). They blew past Fort Bend Willowridge 22-2 on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Debrennon Erskine made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Erskine was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Jaceston Littles was a standout: he went a perfect 5-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Cade Ward was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple.
La Marque always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .651. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Sealy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-12-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for La Marque, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-7-1.
Everything went Sealy's way against La Marque in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Sealy made off with a 15-1 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
