Middle College and New West Charter are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Middle College Cougars' road trip will continue as they head out to face the New West Charter Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on December 13th. Hopefully Middle College focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Monday.
Middle College struggled with assists on Monday (Larchmont Charter had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Middle College took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Larchmont Charter.
Despite the loss, Middle College had strong showings from Josiah Anderson, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds, and Kaosisochukwu Udeze, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for Udeze.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, New West Charter beat Foshay 60-54 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back wins for New West Charter.
Liam Hakimi continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 39 points. Those 39 points set a new season-high mark for he. Armon Behikeesh was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Middle College now has a losing record at 2-3. As for New West Charter, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Middle College beat New West Charter 56-46 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Middle College since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
