If The Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls were feeling good off their 41-8 takedown of the South River Rams last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Point Pleasant Beach took a 46-29 bruising from Highland Park on Thursday. Point Pleasant Beach was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Highland Park apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2017.
Despite the loss, Point Pleasant Beach still got an impressive performance from Liam Brosnan, who rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns.
Point Pleasant Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Highland Park, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-10.
Point Pleasant Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Highland Park also has no future games currently scheduled.
