Harvest Christian will square off against the La Joya Coyotes at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Harvest Christian is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Harvest Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 78-40 win over San Isidro on the road. Given Harvest Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while San Isidro is ranked 1053rd), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even though Sharyland scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, La Joya still came out on top. La Joya took down Sharyland 75-60. The win made it back-to-back wins for La Joya.
Leo Villarreal had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Leo Hinojosa, who scored 12 points.
The losses dropped Harvest Christian to 11-1 and San Isidro to 1-6.
Harvest Christian might still be hurting after the 68-46 defeat they got from La Joya in their previous meeting back in November of 2016. Can Harvest Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
