After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Western, McArthur was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Plantation Colonels 61-26. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McArthur to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christina Casseus, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Christie Chicoye, who posted ten points along with eight boards and seven assists.
McArthur was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Plantation only posted three assists.
Despite the loss, Plantation still got an impressive performance from Nevaeh Gordon, who went 5 of 11 en route to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.
McArthur moved to 10-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Plantation, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.
