Darlington has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Camden Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Darlington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Camden is ranked second).
After soaring to a 54-point victory in their last game, Darlington came back down to earth on Wednesday. They fell just short of Crestwood by a score of 53-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Darlington has suffered yet this season.
Meanwhile, Camden came tearing into Wednesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 55.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 85-20 win over Lake City on the road. Camden has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 28 points or more this season.
Darlington's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5. As for Camden, their win was their 13th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
Darlington was dealt a bruising 76-42 loss at the hands of Camden in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Darlington was down 56-17.
