The Northland Prep Academy Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 72-27 win over BASIS Phoenix on the road. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Northland Prep Academy with their most commanding win of the season.
Northland Prep Academy found their leader in underclassman Ian Karren, who scored 13 points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Karren grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Jaden Joiner, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
BASIS Phoenix's loss came despite strong showings from Uzayr Ansari and Atharsh Ramkumar. Ansari scored four points along with seven rebounds and two blocks, while Ramkumar scored 11 points.
Northland Prep Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. As for BASIS Phoenix, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-14.
