South Sevier has gone 8-2 against San Juan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rams will square off against the Broncos at 11:00 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
South Sevier is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Parowan a 15-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for South Sevier considering their one-run performance the match before.

Bigs Northrup was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Peyton Ingram was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Jaggar Redd was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
South Sevier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They are a perfect 15-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, San Juan got the win against Duchesne on Tuesday by a conclusive 12-5. The victory continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.
Like South Sevier, San Juan also got a great game from a two-way player: Corbin Middlton. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Middlton was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaiten Knight, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Nache Young, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
South Sevier has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for San Juan, their victory bumped their record up to 21-5.
Both South Sevier and San Juan just can't seem to miss. The Rams have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. However, it's not like San Juan struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went South Sevier's way against San Juan when the teams last played back in May of 2023, as South Sevier made off with a 16-10 win. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
