There's no place like home for the Edgemont Moguls, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They strolled past Hemingford with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 51-36. Given Edgemont's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 89th in South Dakota, while Hemingford is ranked 260th in Nebraska), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hadley Hollenbeck was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tavian Urban, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Edgemont now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Hemingford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-14.
Edgemont will head out on the road to square off against Newell at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hemingford, they will be playing at home against Banner County on Monday. Hopefully Banner County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Saturday.
