Ingomar extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 8-11. They lost 17-3 to the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-4 on Tuesday.
Ingomar saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Ball, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
As for Tupelo Christian Prep, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Considering they have won 12 games by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
On Tupelo Christian Prep's side, Weston Parrott made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Parrott posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Umfress, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2025. Nate Cornelison was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Ingomar wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-7 victory against Falkner on the 13th. As for Tupelo Christian Prep, they have also already played their next matchup, a 15-12 defeat against Marshall Academy on the 10th.
