Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Prescott's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

The matchup between Prescott and Ellsworth on Tuesday hardly resembled the 3-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 16-8 win. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by eight runs or more this season.

Prescott has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ellsworth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-7.

Prescott will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
