If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Van Meter. They will challenge Guthrie Center/Adair-Casey on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Van Meter are coming into the matchup hot, having won four in a row.
Last week, Van Meter put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Woodward-Granger to the tune of 41-0. With Van Meter ahead 34-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Guthrie Center/Adair-Casey came up short against Tri-Center, falling 6-14.
Van Meter's victory lifted them to 4-0 while Guthrie Center/Adair-Casey's loss dropped them down to 1-3. We'll see if Van Meter's success rolls on or if Guthrie Center/Adair-Casey are able to steal their positive momentum.
