Maycee Kinlaw made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

West Bladen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

West Bladen's record is now 5-7. As for Whiteville, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Bladen will face off against rival Fairmont at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Whiteville is set to challenge their familiar foe South Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
