The Wahoo Warriors came tearing into Thursday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Malcolm 58-39. Given Wahoo's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Malcolm is ranked 53rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wahoo got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Marcus Glock out in front who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Simons, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and five blocks.
Despite the loss, Malcolm still got an impressive performance from Maddox Meyer, who scored 15 points.
Wahoo pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their 20th straight at home. As for Malcolm, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
Wahoo will stay at home for another game and welcome Ralston at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Malcolm, they will head out on the road to challenge Scotus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scotus is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
