The Twiggs Academy Trojans lost against the Fullington Academy Trojans back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Twiggs Academy lost to Fullington Academy on the road by a decisive 50-31 margin. Twiggs Academy has not had much luck with Fullington Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Twiggs Academy had strong showings from Megan Favors, who scored seven points along with three steals, and Raigan Gilbert, who scored six points along with six rebounds. Favors is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Twiggs Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Fullington Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Twiggs Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Central Georgia Arts at 2:00 p.m. on December 29th. As for Fullington Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome John Hancock Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th. John Hancock Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 499th, while Fullington Academy is ranked 229th).
