The Sardis Lions will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Douglas Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Sardis was beaten by Southside 60-26. Sardis was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 67 points the game before, Douglas were a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Kate Duncan Smith DAR, falling 58-19.
Sardis' defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2. As for Douglas, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Sardis beat Douglas 50-37 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sardis since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
