Harbor Creek is 0-7 against Cathedral Prep since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Harbor Creek Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cathedral Prep Ramblers at 7:30 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Braylen Wilson and Nando Mirarchi.
Last Tuesday, Harbor Creek came up short against Erie and fell 53-44. While losing is never fun, Harbor Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Erie is ranked 112th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tucker Chwatek, who scored 11 points along with five steals. Wilson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Cathedral Prep entered their tilt with Meadville with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Cathedral Prep secured a 63-57 W over Meadville on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Harbor Creek's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-7. As for Cathedral Prep, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Harbor Creek suffered a grim 68-44 defeat to Cathedral Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Harbor Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
