Volleyball Recap: Oglesby Wins Going Away Against Meridian

Oglesby barely beat Meridian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Yellowjackets 3-0 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

One reason for the win was Oglesby's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-14, 25-12.

Brylee Stevens paced Oglesby's offense, picking up five kills. Stevens got some help from Scarlet Aaron and her 16 assists. Zarah Wisehart controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Oglesby has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Meridian, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Oglesby will take on Morgan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meridian, they will venture away from home to challenge Evant at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
