Caurus Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Verde Valley by a score of 46-36. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Caurus Academy has scored all year.
Verde Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Angelo Ayuel, who scored ten points. Zee Dickey was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Caurus Academy pushed their record up to 6-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Verde Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Caurus Academy will head out on the road to face off against Wickenburg Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Verde Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Our Lady of the Sun Academy at 6:30 p.m. Our Lady of the Sun Academy is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
